Acclaimed artist Terrygold has once again captivated audiences with her recent personal and expressive installation, “My Friend,” which uses a blend of text, 2D imagery, and 3D dioramas.
Building on her established practice of using her personal experiences in pieces like “Empty Chairs,” “Rain,” and “I Would,” Terrygold’s new work is an intricate narrative focusing on memories, dreams, and their influence on life.
The installation, premiered on May 20th, explores themes of lost friendships, potential first love, and shared memories in a somber, dreamlike environment created in Second Life without post-processing.
Viewers are encouraged to adjust settings to fully appreciate the ambiance.
The piece culminates in a visually striking upper level that mirrors the story told below, hinting at Terrygold’s own personal narrative while leaving the level of autobiography ambiguous.

Coming up this Saturday, gear up for an exciting weekly adventure with the Grid Drive group excursion.
Participants are welcome at two convenient start times, 11:30 AM and midnight. Meet fellow adventurers at the ‘Get The Freight Out’ hub, situated in Headquarters 2 at De Campion, and let the Navigation Hud lead you on this extraordinary journey.
